Sri Datta Humane Services is a volunteer corp dedicated to the service to Sri Swamiji & His Ashramas and related social programs in India & abroad. The main motto of this work force is to be one of serving humanity with love, affection and all concern under the guidance of Sri Ganapati Sachchidananda Swamiji and as per His plans.


In the sphere of spiritual realization, Service has an immense importance. Those who seek liberation should have only one goal. It is Service indeed! Avadhoota Datta Peetham is a world renowned institution for the social, moral and spiritual welfare of mankind. His Holiness Sri Ganapati Sachchidananda Swamiji, the Peetadhipathi of Datta Peetham not only emanates a genuine self realized spiritual aura and projects the truth of Lord Dattatreya’s vision, but also reminds people of their social responsibility towards their fellow beings and encourages them to participate in social welfare activities.
It is with this Endeavour that Lord Dattatreya incarnated in the form of Sadguru Sri Sri Sri Ganapati Sachchidananda Swamiji with a clear message, vision and tools necessary for fulfilling the aims of the incarnation. Sri Datta Humane Services volunteers are one among the several such tools of this divine incarnate!
The month of July started very auspiciously as devotees all over the world observed Guru Purnima and offered puja to our beloved Sadguru Pujya Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji. At Nuziveedu, Pujya Sri Bala Swamiji commenced His 8th Chaaturmasya Deeksha with Guru Parampara Puja on 15th July, Guru Purnima.
At Nuziveedu, on the day of Guru Purnima, 60 volunteers rendered their service. Laterduring the first week 20 volunteers of Guntur rendered their services, followed by 20 more volunteers of Eluru during the last week of July.
On July 3rd, a day long orientation program was conducted at Kamareddy ashram. Founder Trustee and Overall In-charge of SDHS Sri K.Narayana Rao addressed the volunteers and trustees of Kamareddy and explained the motto of SDHS. Clippings of various medical,social, charitable and spiritual activities conducted by SDHS during the year 2010- 2011 were displayed to the attendees. Later, Dr Eswar Das, Executive Trustee of Kamareddy ashram spoke on the importance of Volunteers for any activity.
At social front, under the Student Sponsorship Program, on 4th July, 2011, SDHS sponsored a poor student Ms. Indravathi of Pitapuram by paying an amount of Rs. 5310/- towards her college fee and other educational expenses. Indravathi has joined BSC I year in Government college, Rajahmundry. Pitapuram Team Leader of SDHS Smt Manga Kumari handed over the cheque on behalf of SDHS. May Pujya Sri Swamiji bless her to excel in her education.
With the divine blessings of Pujya Sri Swamiji, as a part of SDHS Placements Program, weare happy to share that we could place SDHS volunteer Venu Madhav Mangu in Sai SamratEngineers Infratech Pvt Ltd as Site Incharge effective July 19th 2011. SDHS wishes him good luck in all his endeavors.

The month of June 2011 gave yet another wonderful opportunity for SDHS volunteers for seva. This time it is the lunar 69th birthday of Pujya Sri Swamiji celebrated at the holy place of Haridwar. About 75 volunteers reached Haridwar a week before the event and made necessary arrangements for the celebrations.
Self Employment:
On 28th of June, 2011, The founder trustee & Overall In charge of SDHS Sri K. Narayana Rao , on behalf of the organisation, given Rs 50,000/- to Mr. Kumar as a support for his self employment. Mr. Kumar is a tailor and intends to open a tailoring shop at Habsiguda, Hyderabad. This amount would be used for purchase of the required material.
Student sponsorship:
1. Under the Student Sponsorship Program, on 28th June, 2011, SDHS initiated a monthly contribution of Rs 2,500/- to Mr. Pavan Kumar Geddam towards his course fee for BFA in Photography & Visual Communications from JNTU, Hyderabad.
2. On 7th June, 2011, under the student sponsorship program, an amount of Rs 7500/- was donated towards fees and other expenses for a 5th class student Akanksha of Guntur.
On 25th & 26th of June 2011, All India Team Leaders meeting was conducted at Dindugal ashrama of Hyderabad. Leaders from 36 centers attended this meeting and discussed about the plan of action for the upcoming 70th birthday celebrations of Pujya Sri Swamiji to be conducted at Mysore by Sri Datta Humane Services during May 2012. Sri K. Narayana Rao, Founder Trustee & Overall Incharge of SDHS explained about various activities to be taken up during this event. In this meeting, Sri K. Narayana Rao uncle launched the re-designed website of SDHS. All volunteers are requested to use this website for latest updates.

The month of May energized SDHS volunteers with the much awaited 69th birthday celebrations of our Gurudeva - Pujya Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji. About 300 Volunteers rendered their services during this event in which the 12th Brahmotsavam of Sri Datta Venkateshwara Temple also was a part.
The annual SDHS volunteer parade was held on 26th May in the august presence of Pujya Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji. 300 volunteers participated in this parade and offered their respects in the form of Guard of Honor.

SDHS deems it as an immense blessing showered upon it and is happy to announce that Pujya Sri Swamiji has consented SDHS to conduct His 70th Birthday celebrations during May 2012 at Mysore. On behalf of all the volunteers, Sri K. Narayana Rao requested Swamiji for this and Pujya Gurudeva has kindly consented for this request during the parade. The same is later announced during the All India GBS conference by Pujya Swamiji at Nada Mantapa on 29th May, 2011. SDHS extends its invitation to all volunteers to actively participate in this mega event and be blessed by Sri Swamiji.

A ten day long Sri Khara naama Ugadi celebrations gave a wonderful opportunity for seva for SDHS volunteers on spiritual, social and medical front. 350 SDHS volunteers rendered their valuable services during this ten day event from Ugadi to Sri Rama Navami. On all these days Annadanam was performed where volunteers got a chance to serve delicious food for more than 60,000 people who participated in this gigantic event.
Datta Peetham Hyderabad Branch organized various specialty medical camps all through the month at Dundigal Ashrama. Free medical and dental camps were conducted during the ten days of Ugadi celebrations. A team of 30 dedicated volunteers rendered their services during these medical camps.
At Rayanipeta , Kothakota mandal of Mahaboobnagar district, a general medical camp was conducted on 25th & 26th of April, 2011. About 600 patients availed medical facilities during this camp. Pujya Sri Bala Swamiji , who was touring at this place, visiting the camp and blessed the volunteers & patients.
Under SDHS Volunteer Placement Program, SDHS conducted a free counseling session for unemployed volunteers at SDHS office in Hyderabad. 12 volunteers availed this program. Guidance was given on resume writing, communication and interview facing tips. This month, under the placements program, Sandeep Goud was placed as data entry operator and Jaya Prakash Narayana was placed as Administrative Manager in Sai Samrat Infotech Company
